About Brooklyn Teen Challenge

Picture a college football Saturday and the stadium is full, or imagine a city the size of Wilmington, Delaware - about 70,000 people. Now, translate that number into this tragic reality; according to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, in 2017 , that was the number of Americans who died from a drug overdose. It’s an epidemic and one that does not discriminate. But there is HOPE.

Addicts and their families find HOPE at Brooklyn Teen Challenge (BTC). BTC is a nonprofit residential treatment program that serve men and women who battle substance abuse. We need your support to continue this important work.

Join us and other local businesses for the BTC 5K Run/Walk for HOPE at Prospect Park on May 17, 2020. By participating, you will help raise awareness of BTC. Your sponsorship provides services that may mean the difference between life or death.

What is Brooklyn Teen Challenge?

Brooklyn Teen Challenge (BTC) is a faith based addiction program that provides help for those who don’t qualify financially and do not have the means to pay for treatment. Founded in 1958, we have been serving this community in Brooklyn for over 60 years. BTC works on a holistic model of drug and alcohol recovery. This means that we are concerned with the body, mind, and spirit of those who come to our addiction recovery centers. We endeavor to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
